Accessibility Statement
Our ongoing commitment to making this site usable by everyone, including visitors using assistive technology.
Last updated: August 1, 2026
DiscoverLongview.com is an independent informational website created to provide information about the Longview community and surrounding luxury lifestyle. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially associated with The Club at Longview, Longview HOA, Concert Golf Partners, or any related entity. Club names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Membership information, amenities, policies, and offerings may change over time. Visitors should contact The Club at Longview directly for official membership information.
1. Our Commitment
We are committed to ensuring that DiscoverLongview.com is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing obligation rather than a one-time project, and it is considered whenever we design, write, or publish.
2. Conformance Target
We aim to substantially conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. We also design with the accessibility expectations of Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508 in mind. "Substantially conforms" means that most of the Site meets the standard, while some content may not yet fully meet every success criterion.
3. Measures We Have Taken
Steps implemented across the Site include:
- Semantic HTML structure with a single descriptive H1 per page and a logical heading hierarchy.
- Descriptive alternative text on hero and content imagery, verified by automated quality checks.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators and full keyboard operability for navigation and interactive elements.
- Color and contrast choices intended to meet or exceed AA contrast ratios for body and interface text.
- Responsive layouts that reflow legibly on mobile, tablet, and desktop, and remain usable at increased zoom levels.
- Respect for the operating-system "reduce motion" preference, which disables non-essential animation.
- Descriptive, unique link text rather than generic phrases, so screen-reader users can navigate by link list.
4. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations may remain. Third-party embeds, externally hosted media, and legacy imagery may not fully meet the standard, and content we do not control may change without notice. Some decorative imagery and complex visual layouts may convey nuance that is difficult to represent in text. We work to identify and remediate such issues as they are discovered.
5. Assistive Technology Compatibility
The Site is intended to be compatible with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) used with current assistive technologies, including screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS, as well as speech-recognition software, screen magnification, and browser zoom. Compatibility may vary with older browser and assistive-technology versions.
6. Requesting Accommodation or Reporting a Barrier
If you encounter a barrier on this Site, or if you need information from this Site provided in an alternative accessible format — including large print, plain text, or a spoken read-through — contact us through the concierge page. Please describe the page address, the barrier encountered, and the assistive technology and browser you are using so we can reproduce and resolve the issue.
We treat accessibility reports as a priority, acknowledge them promptly, and work in good faith to remediate confirmed barriers or to provide the requested information through an accessible alternative channel.
7. Ongoing Review
We periodically re-evaluate the Site using automated testing, manual keyboard review, and content-quality checks, and we update this statement as our conformance posture changes. Feedback from visitors is the single most valuable input into that process.
Direct all legal, privacy, copyright, and accessibility inquiries to Discover Longview through the concierge contact page. We respond to verified requests as promptly as reasonably practicable.
