Privacy Policy
What information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and the rights you hold over it.
Last updated: August 1, 2026
DiscoverLongview.com is an independent informational website created to provide information about the Longview community and surrounding luxury lifestyle. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially associated with The Club at Longview, Longview HOA, Concert Golf Partners, or any related entity. Club names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Membership information, amenities, policies, and offerings may change over time. Visitors should contact The Club at Longview directly for official membership information.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the operator of DiscoverLongview.com — Peters & Associates, Inc. and its affiliated companies ("we," "us") — handles information collected through this website. It applies to the Site only, and not to any third-party website, club, association, or service provider you may reach through a link, nor to information you provide directly to a professional outside this Site.
2. Information We Collect
We aim to collect the minimum information necessary to operate the Site and respond to inquiries. Categories may include:
- Information you provide voluntarily: name, email address, telephone number, mailing or property address, budget or timeline preferences, and the substance of any message you send us.
- Automatically collected technical data: IP address (often truncated or anonymized by our analytics provider), browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen dimensions, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, and approximate coarse geographic region.
- Cookies and similar technologies: small files or storage entries used for essential functionality, preference retention, and aggregate analytics. See our Cookie Policy for full detail and controls.
- Communications records: correspondence you exchange with us, including inquiry history, so we can respond accurately.
3. Sensitive Information We Do Not Want
Please do not send us Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account or card numbers, health information, biometric data, precise geolocation, immigration status, or login credentials through this Site. We do not request such information here and are not equipped to receive it through public web forms or email. If you send it inadvertently, we will delete it upon discovery.
4. How We Use Information
We use information only for legitimate, disclosed purposes:
- Responding to your inquiries and providing requested information about properties, services, or the community.
- Connecting you, at your request, with an affiliated professional such as a licensed real estate agent, builder, or designer.
- Operating, securing, maintaining, debugging, and improving the Site.
- Understanding aggregate usage patterns to improve editorial content and navigation.
- Complying with legal obligations, enforcing our Terms, and protecting against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
5. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
6. When Information Is Disclosed
We disclose personal information only in these limited circumstances:
- Affiliated professionals — when you request an introduction or consultation, we forward the information necessary to respond to you.
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery, form processing, security, and analytics vendors acting on our instructions under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Legal compliance — when required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or where necessary to protect legal rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy's continued application.
7. Data Retention
We retain inquiry and correspondence records for as long as reasonably necessary to serve the purpose for which they were collected, to maintain a record of a client relationship, and to satisfy legal, tax, professional-licensing, and record-retention obligations. Aggregate and de-identified analytics data may be retained indefinitely because it no longer identifies any individual. You may request deletion as described below.
8. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is perfectly secure. We cannot and do not guarantee absolute security, and you transmit information to us at your own risk. Do not transmit confidential financial or identity information through this Site.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your state or country of residence — including under the CCPA/CPRA (California), the VCDPA (Virginia), the CPA (Colorado), the CTDPA (Connecticut), the UCPA (Utah), and the GDPR/UK GDPR (Europe and the United Kingdom) — you may hold some or all of the following rights:
- Right to know or access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to delete personal information, subject to legal retention exceptions.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither) and of targeted advertising (we do not conduct it).
- Right to data portability in a readily usable format.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it here).
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any privacy right.
- For GDPR subjects: rights to restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
10. How to Exercise Your Rights
Submit a request through the concierge contact page, stating the right you wish to exercise. We will acknowledge receipt promptly and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days under U.S. state laws, extendable once where permitted, and 30 days under the GDPR). We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we may decline requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or that would infringe another person's rights or a legal obligation. Authorized agents may submit requests with written proof of authorization.
11. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because industry standards for "Do Not Track" browser signals remain inconsistent, the Site does not respond to DNT headers. We do honor recognized universal opt-out mechanisms such as Global Privacy Control where legally required; because we do not sell or share personal information, such signals have no practical effect on our processing.
12. International Visitors
The Site is operated in the United States and intended primarily for U.S. audiences. If you access it from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. The revised version is effective when posted with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected prominently on this page.
Direct all legal, privacy, copyright, and accessibility inquiries to Discover Longview through the concierge contact page. We respond to verified requests as promptly as reasonably practicable.
